Although personal photography and videography are permitted at the Villa Terrace Art Museum, a general photography permit is required for all wedding, engagement, family, and school pictures or any other posed photography session that uses the museum as a backdrop and/or requires special attire.

Personal photography permits start at $200/hr (10 people or less) and are bookable via Square Appointments. A permit and certificate of insurance are required for all commercial and advertising photography. Commercial photography permits start at $650/hr and can be obtained via the form found here.

By requesting/booking a session you agree to the photography permit guidelines including all Rules, Fines and Fees applicable.

**Due to the immense demand for photography sessions, booking a photoshoot is treated as a REQUEST until our staff can confirm availability. If there is no availability, your request will be declined and you will not be charged. All requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis.**

 

PLEASE NOTE:

- Permits must be requested at least 7 business days in advance of your suggested photography date via the booking form below. We recommend 30 days in advance.

- All Filming/Photography information is available online and/or via Square. Phone requests to book a session will be redirected to these sources.

- Appointment requests can only be made two (2) months ahead of desired date. They will be approved within the two (2) week time frame in which it was requested.

- Cancellation fees apply to all photography permits.

FAQs

Do you allow same day or walk-in appointments?

We do not allow impromptu or day-of photography appointments. You will be turned away without a permit and appointment.

Does CAVT provide a list of recommended photographers or videographers for their museums?

Photographers and videographers are not provided by the museum for events.

If I request a certain date/time and it is declined, should I try the same time again?

Do not attempt the same time selection, if your appointment is declined it means the time slot is already booked for another appointment or a private event. 

Is my card getting charged when I request an appointment?

There may be a pending request or hold on your card but it will not be charged until Museum staff have reviewed and approved of your requested booking and you have received confirmation from us.
