eventsCome celebrate the vibrant Mexican tradition of Dia de Los Muertos at the Villa Terrace Art Museum with music, food and fun for all. Admission and activities are free, just RSVP. Donations are appreciated.
Join us for an afternoon filled with great art, live music, delicious food and joyful festivities. Learn about this beautiful tradition of honoring and celebrating loved ones who have passed and celebrate Mexican culture in Milwaukee.
Las 7 Estrellas Restaurant's food truck will be on site. Cash only.
There will be fun activities for all ages including decorating sugar skulls, crafting picture frames, story time and a mariachi performance by Mariachi Monarcas.
This in-person event promises to be an unforgettable experience, so mark your calendars and don't miss out on this unique celebration!

Agenda (Tentative)
1 PM – Introduction
1:15 - 4 PM – Activities
- Enjoy art activities in the dining room and a story/film in the front gallery, or explore the Museum and gardens freely. Food trucks will be on site. Food and beverages are permitted in the great hall and on the terrace. Food and beverages are not allowed in the galleries or lower gardens.
3 PM – Live La Calavera Catrina
- Experience the icon of Dia de Los Muertos "La Calavera Catrina" or "La Catrina" a skull-faced woman who has come to embody the holiday. Learn about La Catrina and pose with the live performers for photos.
4 PM– Mariachi Monarcas Band
- Enjoy a performance by the Mariachi Monarcas.
